Call of Duty: Vanguard features over three dozen weapons, 16 multiplayer maps at launch, a WWII era single-player campaign to get through, and zombies. Just like the standard multiplayer, gamers can unlock various camos for each weapon in zombies.
Whether you are a fan of mowing down the undead with assault rifles, SMGs, snipers, or the likes of launchers, LMGs or shotguns, there are camos to grind for, with the most exotic being the Dark Aether camo.
Here's how you can unlock the Golden Viper, Plague Diamond and finally, the Dark Aether camos for your weapons in COD Vanguard's zombies mode.
How to unlock mastery camos in Vanguard zombies
There are over 200 camos in COD Vanguard spread across zombies and standard multiplayer. The mastery camos stand out the most, by far, and we've already covered how to unlock them for standard multiplayer.
In zombies, there are 10 camos for each weapon to unlock, including distinct mastery camos for each gun, namely Golden Viper, Plague Diamond and finally, Dark Aether.
Unlocking Golden Viper camos
Players can unlock the Golden Viper camo for each weapon in COD Vanguard by playing zombies and completing 10 challenges (where they unlock additional camos). These challenges are easy to complete, for example, reaching weapon level 10, getting x amount of kills, and so forth.
After completing the initial 10 challenges with a weapon, you will get the Golden Viper camo which you can apply to it to show off your mastery of the gun.
Unlocking Plague Diamond camos
To unlock the Plague Diamond camo, players will have to unlock all Golden Viper camos for a specific weapon class.
That's quite the grind, as players will have to, for example, unlock Golden Viper on all six SMGs in order to equip a Plague Diamond mastery camo on their SMGs.
Unlocking Dark Aether camos
Dark Aether is the cream of the crop when it comes to COD Vanguard's zombies mastery camos. Let's just pull off the bandaid; players will need to unlock Plague Diamond camo for all weapon types, including launches, pistols, snipers and everything in between to unlock Dark Aether camos.
The Dark Aether camo in COD Vanguard could take months to unlock, or even more than a year depending on player skill and determination. It should be well worth it, however, since it has a beautiful, updated green look and best of all, the camo is animated.
Take a look at the video from YouTuber PrestigelsKey below showcasing all 206 camos in COD Vanguard.
Just like the Atomic Mastery camo in COD Vanguard's multiplayer, we expect the Dark Aether camo to take a very long time to unlock, so good luck and let the grind begin!
