The new anti-cheat for Warzone and Call of Duty: Vanguard is just weeks away and developers, Raven Software, have indicated that they are confident about the new system ridding hackers for good. This followed after the developers issued a statement directed to cheaters warning them that they "aren't welcome".
Raven Software was at the receiving end of much criticism amid the plague of hackers that were flooding Warzone servers. This persisted for several months and later prompted many players (including iconic streamers, TimTheTatman and NICKMERCS) to abandon the game.
Naturally, this forced Raven Software's hand to remediate the situation by overhauling their botched (non-existant) anti-cheat system, which they announced would go live with COD Vanguard on 5th November.
Call of Duty devs hint at new Warzone and COD Vanguard anti-cheat information
On 12th October, the Call of Duty developers announced that further details regarding the new anti-cheat would be released, along with a strong warning to the hackers currently plaguing Warzone. The message was received loud and clear.
Addressing the cheaters, the statement opened by reading: "We love games. It's our passion. We're honoured to make games for the greatest fans in the world. We don't always get it right, but we're committed to doing our best."
The devs then shifted gears and proceeded by saying: "Cheating ruins the fun for everyone. No one likes a cheater. Our goal is to deliver a fun and fair gaming experience. For our developers. For our fans. And most importantly... for Call of Duty players everywhere."
The developers concluding remarks were also blunt and to the point: "Cheaters aren't welcome. There's no tolerance for cheaters, and soon you'll know what we mean."
At the time of writing, no further information regarding the new anti-cheat has been released. According to the post on the official Call of Duty Twitter account, however, these details should go public sometime today, on 13th October.
