Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War set to release 13 November, leaks suggest

With the impending release of the latest Call of Duty title, Black Ops Cold War, data miners have found their way into files containing lots of information about the FPS, including a release date.

The iconic Black Ops series is back with Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War – the direct sequel to the original and fan-favorite Call of Duty®: Black Ops.

Black Ops Cold War will drop fans into the depths of the Cold War’s volatile geopolitical battle of the early 1980s. Nothing is ever as it seems in a gripping single-player Campaign, where players will come face-to-face with historical figures and hard truths, as they battle around the globe through iconic locales like East Berlin, Vietnam, Turkey, Soviet KGB headquarters and more.

As elite operatives, you will follow the trail of a shadowy figure named Perseus who is on a mission to destabilize the global balance of power and change the course of history. Descend into the dark center of this global conspiracy alongside iconic characters Woods, Mason and Hudson and a new cast of operatives attempting to stop a plot decades in the making.

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War multiplayer

The leaks suggest a standard multiplayer mode, as well as Zombies, will be featured in the upcoming Call of Duty title, with a reveal scheduled to happen 9th September. 

Black Ops Cold War Editions

CODTracker also leaked all the editions the FPS will feature across different platforms, detailing the perks each one will have. Here's the breakdown.

Besides the regular edition, two more will be available, first up, the Cross-Gen edition, which suggests Activision will charge players if they want to upgrade from current-gen console to next-gen ones. This version will let PS4 players migrate to PS5, and Xbox One users do the same with the Xbox Series X.

If players reserve their copy of the newest Call of Duty, they will get the following:

• Early access to the Open Beta
