Best Kar98k loadout for Warzone Season 5

Warzone Season 5 arrives at a tumultuous time for the game, with Activision-Blizzard dealing with the fallout of a discrimination lawsuit and many of the game's most well-known streamers ditching it in favour of rival titles sick to death of the cheating problem that continues to plague the game.

But that doesn't mean there isn't a lot to get excited about if you are a fan of the game with Warzone Season 5 bringing with it two brand new weapons, more Red Door madness, new game modes and quite a bit more.

And while there weren't any more balance changes like we have seen happen in a big way in the last few seasons, the meta has still been shifted slightly with the addition of the EM2 assault rifle and the TEC-9 sub-machine gun.

The introduction of new weapons means that your previously trusted loadout may no longer be cutting it, so -- as we do with every new season -- we have gone back through each weapon to judge the best loadout for this season.

With that said, here is the best Kar98k loadout in Warzone Season 5.

The Kar98k is one of the most popular and devastating sniper rifles in Warzone, being one of the few guns in the game that offers one-shot kill capabilities.

Getting the most out of the Kar98k means putting the right attachments on it, and with Season 5 now here, we have looked once again at this rifle to see how best to run it.

This is what we have come up with:

• Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
• Barrel: Singuard Custom 27.6"
• Laser: Tac Laser
• Optic: Sniper Scope
• Stock: FTAC Sport Comb

We have opted for the ever-present Monolithic Suppressor on the muzzle, which will help keep you off your opponents' radars.

The Singuard Custom 27.6" Barrel helps improve the rifles best features mainly its pinpoint accuracy and range at a small cost to mobility and ADS speed.

For usability and to help you at range, we have attached the Tac Laser and Sniper Scope, the latter offers a huge 8x magnification while the laser increases aim stability, walking steadiness and ADS speed.

For the stock, we have opted for the FTAC Sport Comb, which reduces the ADS speed, increasing the guns viability at close-to-medium range.
