While Call of Duty: Vanguard is only in its beta phase, players are still trying to maximize their time with the game to be as prepared as possible when it releases on 5th November.
In order to ensure that you perform the best you can in the beta, you need to use the best loadouts available for the best weapons in Vanguard.
One of these weapons is the Kar98k, which is back again and looks to be the best sniper in multiplayer. It was by far the best sniper in its class back in COD: WWII, and Vanguard doesn’t appear to be any different.
Still, players need a great loadout to maximize their success with the weapon in the beta. Although players don’t have access to many attachments in the COD Vanguard beta, they can still create a dominant Kar98k loadout.
Best Kar98k loadout in Vanguard beta
One of the more unique aspects of Vanguard is the number of loadout slots you get per weapon. There are 10 total attachments you can equip and while this sounds overpowered, many of the attachments actually negatively affect your weapon. With this in mind, you only really need around eight attachments with the Kar98k to keep it as effective as it can be.
-
Muzzle: MK. 2 Stabilizer
-
Barrel: Krausnick Scout
-
Stock: Short Stock
-
Underbarrel: M1930 Madson
-
Ammo Type: FMJ Rounds
-
Rear Grip: Leather Grip
-
Proficiency: Icy Veins
-
Kit: On-Hand
As you can see, we’ve omitted the optic and magazine slots. The base optic for the Kar98k is the best option in the beta and the magazine options aren’t too attractive due to their negative effect on ADS time.
This class setup improves your speed more than anything with the Kar98k. Attachments like the Leather Grip and Short Stock allow you to run around and quickscope players with the Kar98k in the Vanguard beta.
As for some other attachments, the FMJ Rounds are the preferred Ammo Type due to how many destructible surfaces there are in Vanguard.
To make sure the Kar98k’s recoil is steady, the Krausnick Scout, M1930 Madson and MK. 2 Stabilizer are in use. These ensure players aren’t kicking when they shoot the gun. The Scout lowers damage range, though.
Finally, the Kit and Proficiency equipped are fairly standard in the Vanguard beta. Icy Veins allow you to hold your breath for longer and the On-Hand Kit simply gets your gun back up faster after using the equipment.
This is the best Kar98k loadout in the Vanguard beta but will definitely change when the full game is released.
