After a series of leaks and rumours, Activision has finally released official details in regards to Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 2.
And it seems that somehow Season 2 will be even bigger than the first season, with a huge amount of content coming in both Cold War and Warzone.
When it comes to Warzone, four new Cold War operators and six new weapons will become available in Warzone as well, along with new POIs on Verdanks, and two completely new game modes.
Let's take a look at what's cooking for Warzone in Season 2.

New Warzone Points of Interest
While we still didn't receive news about the rumoured new Warzone map, with the launch of Season 2 Verdansk and Rebirth Island will receive several changes and new POIs.

Activision is being quite mysterious with these new changes and POIs, not wanting to spoil the surprise for players because changes are tied with the story progression.
What we do know is that the Russian cargo tanker Vodianoy is heading toward the Port of Verdansk and is "carrying unknown cargo". Is this another Zombies teaser for Warzone? The blog post also mentions that "something major is beginning to rumble deep underground" within Verdansk.
New Warzone game modes: Exfiltration and Rebirth Island Resurgence Extreme
If you are looking for some fresh new ways to play Warzone, we got good news! With the Season 2, two new game modes are slated for release in Warzone.
Rebirth Island Resurgence Extreme will be available at launch, which will allow 90 players to drop onto Rebirth Island, which is absolutely crazy number for such a small map, especially with respawn enabled. Complete madness!

Later in Season 2 Exfiltration mode will be added as well. The mode brings a special win condition in a form of a portable radio. The Operator who secures this radio and holds onto it for a sufficient period of time automatically wins the game, but those players will be marked under a Most Wanted Contract and visible to all other players, so it will be very hard to stay alive while holding the radio.
When does Warzone Season 2 start?
Warzone Season 2 content is expected to become available between 9 pm and 11 pm PT on 24th February.
