The start of the COD League 2021 is just around the corner and Activision is setting up final details for the new season.
Given that viewership numbers weren't exactly great during the last season, both Activision-Blizzard and YouTube are working together on additional implementations that will help with the audience engagement for the COD League and Overwatch League.
One of the first steps is account linking between COD/Overwatch players and YouTube, which will provide an easy way to implement various rewards for fans who are watching the event.

The first set of rewards for Stage 1 is already announced, and they include things like callings cards, weapon charms, emblems, and Double XP tokens, all which can be earned simply by watching the COD League Stage 1.
In order to further incentivise fans, Activision has plans to introduce more rewards, including Operator skins.
Talking to SBJ (via Esports Observer), Brandon Snow, CCO of Activision Blizzard Esports, revealed that Operator skins are on their way to becoming COD League viewership rewards.
This was revealed along with the information that the system will evolve into a tier-based system, where rewards will be earned based on the amount of time spent on watching the League. The more you watch, the better the rewards will be, and we can only guess that Operator skins will be among the high-end rewards.

While it is not exactly sure what kind of skins these rewards will be, they might be some complete new skins based on the COD League.
In December of the last year, Activision released a CDL launch pack, which includes CDL-themed operator skins, emblems, stickers, and calling cards, so we might expect to see some new skins based on the COD League as viewership rewards.
Last year's COD League also included COD League gear based on League's franchises, so we can expect those to come back as well, but probably as purchasable items, not as viewership rewards.
The COD League 2021 officially begins on February 11 with the Opening Weekend hosted by Atlanta FaZe.
