After a series of launch week tournaments organised in partnership with CoD League teams, Activision is now ready to share the first version of the competitive settings for the 2021 Call of Duty League season.
The rules present complete guidance for competitive play, including Maps, Modes, Game Settings and banned items.
It is important to note that this is just the first iteration of the ruleset and that these settings will receive updates and changes when the League's organisers get more feedback from the players.
"Competitive Call of Duty rules adjust over time. The rules below represent the settings in place for Call of Duty Challengers events," says in the COD League announcement. "Version 1 of the 2021 season Competitive Settings is foundational and rules may change throughout the year. Maps and modes may also change at a later date."
Activision emphasizes that this first version of competitive settings is something that the League's administration worked on together with representatives from the League, including both players and coaches, in order to make the best possible settings everyone will be happy with, and they will continue listening to feedback from players and make necessary adjustments if needed.
