Will MW3 Skins Carry Over To Black Ops 6?

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to launch this October, taking over from Modern Warfare 3 as the leading Call of Duty title. With Balck Ops 6 comes an overhaul to movement and the return of round-based Zombies, both areas that fans have been championing for years. But as we switch back to our traditional ways, there's a question that lingers regarding all of the cosmetics we've earned throughout MW3's lifecycle.

Do Modern Warfare 3 Skins Still Work In Black Ops 6?

In Call of Duty's Black Ops 6 reveal blog, Activision addressed the impact that the 'Carry Forward' initiative will have on the upcoming title. "We want to make sure that everybody starts fresh, together, as we move into an all-new experience with the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6," the blog said.

"Allowing everyone to experience the Black Ops universe the way it’s meant to be played, learning the era-specific weapons and gear, learning the gameplay innovations like Omnimovement, and keeping that signature Black Ops style is important."

Black Ops 6 is set in the early 1990's, following on the story of Black Ops Cold War. It seems Treyarch and Raven Software are paying close attention to the how they depict the era. As such, Modern Warfare 3 and Modern Warfare 2 content will not carry forward to the Black Ops 6.

There is one exception, however: The Black Ops 6 Vault Edition Woods Operator Pack preorder benefit is currently available in Modern Warfare 3 and will carry forward into Black Ops 6.  

It's a surprising move given how important Carrying Forward items was made out to be around the launch of Modern Warfare 3. All content will still be useable in Call of Duty: Warzone, however.
