Season 1 of Black Ops 6 has officially arrived, offering players a variety of exciting new content across multiplayer, ranked modes, and Zombies. However, as with any fresh update, some bugs have made their way into the game.
One particularly frustrating issue has been locking players out of using the Ghost Perk. Fortunately, we’re here to guide you through the best method to fix the locked Ghost Perk in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Locked Ghost Perk Bug Explained
The Locked Ghost Perk bug in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 1 is exactly as it sounds - players are finding the Ghost Perk broken and locked, even after meeting the required level to unlock it. This issue has left many players, particularly those whose load-outs rely on the perk, vulnerable to enemy UAVs, Scout Pulses, and Scorestreaks.
Fortunately, a workaround has been discovered that allows players to bypass this issue until the developers release a patch. The method involves duplicating an existing loadout that already has the Ghost Perk equipped, effectively tricking the game into making the perk accessible.
Steps to Fix the Locked Ghost Perk in BO6:
- Navigate to the Weapons tab.
- Select Loadouts.
- Locate a loadout that already has the Ghost Perk equipped.
- Press Y (on Xbox) or Triangle (on PlayStation).
- Choose Duplicate.
After duplicating, paste the loadout into another slot. This should unlock the Ghost Perk, allowing you to use it in your matches.
However, it’s important to note that this workaround requires an existing loadout with the Ghost Perk equipped. If you don’t already have one, you’ll have to wait for the developers to resolve the bug in a future patch.
On the bright side, this issue has been acknowledged on the Black Ops 6 Trello Board under the note: "Ghost remains locked despite meeting requirements to unlock it." This suggests a fix is already in progress, so the wait may not be too long. For those with the perk in a loadout, the steps above should help you get it working in the meantime.
