Many players were impressed with the showcase of the new features coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, and one feature in particular was the new movement system for the game called Omnimovement. While we have yet to see how it plays, Treyarch has confirmed that it will also be the new movement system for Warzone.
If you're curious to know the details surrounding the implementation of this new and almost experimental Omnimovement system into a multiplayer experience as large as Warzone, then we have all the details you need to know below.
Call Of Duty Black Ops 6 Devs Confirm The New Omnimovement Feature for Warzone
We've covered the new Omnimovement mechanics in our guide, but for a quick summary, it's Treyarch's latest movement system introduced in Black Ops 6. This system allows players to slide, sprint, and dive in any direction, as well as go prone on their back instead of just their front, among other features.

Although the Black Ops 6 reveal trailer and showcase at the recent Xbox Games event didn't provide much clarity on whether this movement system would extend to other titles like Warzone, Treyarch has now confirmed in an interview with VentureBeat that the movement mechanics will be consistent across both games.
In the interview, Treyarch's senior director of production, Yale Miller, discussed the developer's intentions with the movement system across their titles. He emphasized, “The goal always starts with being unified. We’ve said this a bunch. If we teach the player to do something, we want to teach them to do it once … That goes across all the modes. Zombies, Campaign. Movement and all those things, we’re trying to have unification.”
This indicates that Treyarch's primary aim is to standardize the movement system across their modern titles. This approach is practical as it will facilitate seamless transitions between Black Ops 6 and Warzone if their movement systems are similar. It also suggests the introduction of an exciting new movement system that could potentially become a defining feature in future Call of Duty titles.
