Although the developers haven’t officially announced a release date, we do know—thanks to a tweet from Treyarch—that Shattered Veil, the next Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies map, will launch in Season 3. For those unaware, Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 3 was originally scheduled for March but has been pushed back to April 3 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM BST.

There’s currently some debate over whether Shattered Veil will launch on Day 1 of Season 3 or if it will be held back for the mid-season Reloaded update. Given that Treyarch and Activision have been actively teasing the map and sharing screenshots, it would make sense for it to drop at the start of the season.

However, with Verdansk making its return in Season 3, they may choose to prioritize that for the first half of the season and release Shattered Veil during Season 3 Reloaded instead. Regardless of the exact timing, we know it’s coming in Season 3, and there’s plenty to be excited about.

Story-wise, the events of Shattered Veil will pick up directly after the events of The Tomb, meaning we’ll finally get to see what happens next with our group now that they’ve secured the Sentinel Artifact. The team will be heading back to Liberty Falls, which is shaping up to be the battleground for a major confrontation between them and whoever—or whatever—controls the mansion.
