Brown Dust 2 is still in its infancy, so any tier lists are subject to change once the meta settles. However, community members have made a general consensus about certain characters. We will only be covering the five-star characters here, although several of the four-stars are also worth adding to your team. 

S-Tier

• Alec: Alec is a powerful DPS and a contender for the strongest unit in the game. He is capable of dealing true damage based on 200% of his ATK. 
• Justia: Justia is another powerful DPS who can also deal true damage. However, players will receive two copies of Justia for free by playing the game. 

A-Tier

• Lecliss: Lecliss is a powerful tank and comes with a built-in taunt allowing you to soak up damage. 
• Olstein: Olstein is a powerful Wind mage capable of dealing tons of Magic ATK. 
• Gray: Gray can attack multiple times, dealing increased damage to targets based on his ATK stat. 

B-Tier

• Rou: Rou can knock back targets while also having the chance to evade incoming attacks. 
• Helena: Helena is a great support character that can reduce incoming damage for your team. 
• Rubia: Rubia can attack multiple times and deal additional DMG based on her ATK. 
• Celia: Celia can attack a whopping seven times, with each attack dealing Magic DMG. However, right now, true damage is more powerful. 
• Elise: Elise can deal Physical damage while decreasing Magic Resist. 
• Liatris: Liatris can attack multiple times dealing increased DMG based on her ATK. 
• Eclipse: Eclipse can deal Magic DMG while also healing herself per attack.

C-Tier

• Scheherazade: Scheherazade is good at removing enemy buffs but lacks a lot of damage otherwise. 
• Seir: Seir can heal HP when attacked and decrease incoming DMG by 35%. However, other characters can do her job a lot better. 
• Teresse: Teresse can knock enemies back, which will then deal DMG to the target hit based on their Max HP. 
• Eleaneer: Eleaneer can heal some health back when she is attacked while also decreasing incoming DMG. 
• Sylvia: Sylvia is capable of countering targets with Physical DMG. 

D-Tier

• Lathel: Lathel is a free-five-star character given to all players at the start of the game and falls into the same trap as being a weak free character.
