The first open beta for Battlefield 2042 is here and thousands of players around the world are already testing the game intensely.
The open beta started yesterday on 6th October, at 12 am PDT / 3 am EDT / 8 am BST, but only for those players who have preordered the game or are subscribed to EA Play.
For everyone else, the "real" open beta starts two days later, on Friday, 8th October, at 12 am PDT / 3 am EDT / 8 am BST.
Both early access and the real open beta will end simultaneously, but when exactly?
When does the Battlefield 2042 open beta end?
Unfortunately, especially for those players who didn't manage to get early access to the Battlefield 2042 open beta, this will be a very short test period.
The Battlefield 2042 open beta is planned to last for just a few days, and it won't even span the whole weekend.
According to the official Battlefield 2042 beta website, the beta will end on 9th October, just a day after general access begins on 8th October.
At the moment, the exact ending time of the open beta hasn't yet been specified, but hopefully, it will be near the end of the day (PTD time), so that everyone at least has a whole Saturday to play and test the game.
We are not sure why is the Battlefield 2042 beta so short, but at least EA and DICE promise another beta weekend later, which will hopefully be a bit longer than this one.
Currently, the first impressions of players from the beta are definitely mixed; some are praising the game for being fun and exciting, while others claim that the game feels "like a Chinese clone of the Battlefield series."
There's definitely a lot of work to be done in order for the game to be released in a high-quality state, which is why the game has recently been delayed for a few weeks.
