Baldur's Gate 3 launches next month after spending three years in early access, and fans are chomping at the bit waiting for their chance to play it. But when will reviews release for the long-awaited RPG sequel?
Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier tweeted:
"Larian Studios tells me review codes for Baldur's Gate 3 won't be out until July 28, just six days before launch, to give the devs 'time to fully wrap up their work' for release. So don't expect any comprehensive reviews before the game comes out!"
What this means is that any reviews for the game will likely be work-in-progress reviews. The game is over 100 hours long, meaning that it would require severe crunch time just to get a review out that could possibly have seen half of the content in the game. What this also means is that the review embargo will probably be a few days before launch, especially given how codes are only being sent out just over a week from now.
