Baldur's Gate 3 PS5 Pre-Load: All Dates, Times, Editions

Baldur's Gate 3 has already proven itself to be a behemoth of an RPG. Aside from earning a place as one of the highest-reviewed PC games of all time, the game has brought a whole new wave of players to the world of D&D. But PS5 fans have been anxiously waiting on the sidelines for Baldur's Gate 3's console release, which is set to launch on September 6, 2023.

But if you've already pre-purchsed your PS5 copy of Baldur's Gate 3, then depending on which version you've ordered, you'll have the chance to pre-load the game ahead of time. Below, we'll go over the pre-load times for both the Standard and Digital Deluxe Editions for Baldur's Gate 3.

When Can You Pre-Load Baldur's Gate 3 On PS5?

Depending on whether you've pre-purchased the Standard or Digital Deluxe Edition of Baldur's Gate 3 on PS5, the dates and times for which you can pre-load the game will differ.

If you've pre-purchased the Standard Edition of Baldur's Gate 3, you'll be able to begin pre-loading the game on September 4, 2023 at 16:00 UTC. This is two days before the game will officially launch on PS5.

But if you've bagged yourself the Digital Deluxe Edition of Baldur's Gate 3, you can actually begin pre-loading much earlier, this is due to the Early Access period Digital Deluxe Edition owners receive as part of the bundle. Digital Deluxe Edition pre-loads begin on August 31, 2023 at 16:00 UTC. 

This is two days ahead of the Digital Deluxe Edition Early Access period, which begins on September 2, giving players four extra days to spend with Baldur's Gate 3 ahead of its release on September 6.

How To Pre-Order Baldur's Gate 3 On PS5

If you've yet to pre-order Baldur's Gate 3 on PS5, there's still time to do so ahead of both the launch and Early Access period. Players will simply need to head to the official Baldur's Gate 3 website, where they'll be able to choose their desired edition. Players can also head straight to the PlayStation digital storefront and make their pre-purchase.
