Baldur's Gate 3 contains a plethora of side quests that you'll just come across within the game at random intervals. One of these is the discovery of an area in the Shadowlands known as the Sharran Sanctuary in which, you guessed it, worshippers of Shar go on their pilgrimage. But there seems to be a puzzle in order to get in, and how do you solve it?
What's in the Sharran Sanctuary?
In order to get into the Sharran Sanctuary you need to investigate three separate plaques that appear to be disconnected, but once you investigate them you'll realize that they're actually sentences. Investigate the plaques in the following order to open the Sharran Sanctuary: North Plaque, West Plaque, East Plaque. This will open up the Sharran Sanctuary.
When you get down there you'll be required to talk to a few statues and pass a few Charisma and intelligence checks to prove your allegiance to Shar. Pass all of these and a secret wall will open up, allowing you to talk to the final statue. You're able to either sacrifice blood to the altar of Shar here or steal the Ritual Dagger. Stealing the dagger isn't advisable as it'll summon multiple high-level enemies, but sacrificing blood to the statue will give you a lot of rewards, with several potions and scrolls spawning next to the altar. These are as follows: Scroll of Revivify, Scroll of Blight, Potion of Angelic Reprieve, and Elixir of Necrotic Resistance.
