ARK Survival Ascension was oh-so-close to releasing its first post-launch map with 'The Center', due to arrive next week. Only now, it won't.
Following the release of the latest ARK Community Crunch blog post, the developers confirmed that they have"made the decision to postpone the Center as it wasn’t on track to launch with the level of quality we require."
Worse still, there's no news as to when The Centre will now launch, and it sort of brings into question the entire ARK Survival Ascended Map Release Schedule, not least given it's already changed once in January 2024.
Explaining the decision further, developers told fans: "Our dedicated partners – who have been working on the Center while we focus on Scorched Earth – need more time to make sure it meets our expectations, and yours. We’re sorry for this change in plans but we know it will be well worth it when the Center launches"
There's one silver lining...
In order to not completely anger fans of the game, the devs plan to release The Gigantoraptor, which was originally intended to debut alongside 'The Center'. The new creature will be released on Wednesday, Feb 28th for all Survivors on The Island.
"We hope your new majestic companion will keep you company while you wait for its home-map to receive its glow-up. In preparation for Gigantoraptor launch on Wednesday, we’ll be releasing a major version patch on Monday."
