In ARK Survival Ascended, there are numerous invaluable resources crucial for your survival on the island. When reaching the end game, crafting TEK items becomes essential to enhance your gameplay and increase survivability. This is where Black Pearls play a crucial role as an irreplaceable resource.
Acquiring Black Pearls can be challenging, so if you're seeking reliable methods to obtain them, our guide has you covered. Below, you'll find a detailed breakdown of how to efficiently farm Black Pearls in ARK Survival Ascended.
How To Farm Black Pearls Quickly in ARK Survival Ascended
Before we delve into the most optimal farming method for Black Pearls in the game, it's essential to note that there are various options available for collecting them. Players can obtain Black Pearls by harvesting dead Trilobites, Deathworms, Eurypterids, Ammonites, Tusoteuthis, Alpha Tusoteuthis, and Alpha Mosasaurs. Additionally, they can drop as rare loot when catching fish with a Fishing Rod.
However, for our method, we'll focus on farming Trilobites and Eurypterids. These creatures are the easiest to kill (they can be one-shot by almost any Tame), and with the taming method we suggest, it's the safest option for any player, even early-game players. While other creatures like the Alpha Mosasaur and Alpha Tusoteuthis drop more Black Pearls per kill, the chances of successfully executing this each time for farming are risky.
For our approach, we will be using the Diplocaulus, which is not only an extremely fast time, allowing you to swiftly farm for Black Pearls, but they also provides you with an Oxygen source, enabling you to stay underwater for much longer. Diplocaulus can usually be found in the small rivers in the southern center of the island, and fortunately, they aren't too rare, making them easy to locate.
Once you have the Diplocaulus, you can head into the water and swiftly swim along the ground, taking out any Trilobites and Eurypterids along the way. Each kill will yield roughly 2 - 5 Black Pearls, and thanks to the Diplocaulus's speed, you should be able to eliminate 10 or 20 of these creatures within minutes. This allows you to farm tons of Black Pearls for all your TEK crafting needs while remaining too fast to be caught by any of the larger and more dangerous creatures.
So there you have it, a quick and comprehensive breakdown of how to efficiently farm for Black Pearls in ARK Survival Ascended. Get your hands on a Diplocaulus, and explore the ocean floors for Trilobites and Eurypterids until you have as many Black Pearls as you need.
