Surviving the wild dinos and harsh environments of ARK: Survival Ascended is an incredible experience, but the developers at Studio Wildcard like to keep things exciting with annual events. One such event is ARK Fear Ascended, the new version of the game's  Halloween-themed celebration during the spooky month of October (previously called Fear Evolved).

Naturally, many players wonder when this year’s Halloween event will begin and what new content might be in store. Well, you won’t have to wonder much longer, as we’ll be diving into everything we know about the 2024 Fear Ascended Halloween event for ARK: Survival Ascended.

As of now, Studio Wildcard hasn't released specific details about this year's Fear Ascended event, the annual Halloween-themed celebration in ARK. They have however released an official statement in their most recent community crunch that states they are "heads down on Fear Ascended event content" which means the event is coming, but an official release date is to be disclosed.

We anticipate the event will fall within a similar timeframe as previous Halloween events, likely running from mid-October (around the 19th in past years) until early November (around the 2nd). While this is just speculation, it seems a reasonable expectation, giving players ample time to enjoy all the spooky content.

Fear Ascended Halloween Event Content and Features

As for the content in this year’s Fear Ascended, we expect to see a return of some fan-favorite elements from previous events. This includes event-specific creatures like the Basilisk Ghost, skeletal versions of dinosaurs, and zombie dinos.

Players can also expect new wild creature colors inspired by Halloween, such as blacks, grays, oranges, and reds. Additionally, new event items will likely be available, including themed food items and spooky structures to decorate your base for the season.
