A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead just got an October 17 release date - just in time for Halloween 2024 - along with an official release date trailer. The upcoming single-player horror title will be available for PS5 (PlayStation 5), Xbox Series X/S, and Steam (PC) for $29.99.

Saber Interactive's The Road Ahead is based on the 'A Quiet Place' Paramount Pictures franchise, and is set in the same universe. To be more specific, it takes place between the first 'A Quiet Place' film and the more recent prequel. However, it doesn't have quite the same story as the films, instead featuring an all-new character, fresh perspectives, and unforeseen situations.
In the game, players take on the role of Alex, an "asthmatic college student" who is "trying to survive the end of the world with her boyfriend Martin." Throughout the game, she struggles not only with "the nightmarish creatures of the apocalypse," but also interpersonal anguish and her own fears.
"With nothing more than your wits and the simple tools you can scavenge, you’ll have to overcome the many treacherous challenges and obstacles that lay ahead, all while trying to survive an ever-present threat of the unknown enemies," developers explain. "Just don’t make a sound…"
