How To Unlock Earthen Race in WoW The War Within

In World of Warcraft (WoW), players prepare to journey into subterranean zones filled with wonders, loot, and terrors during the game's latest expansion, The War Within. The expansion is massive and features four expansive new zones, the Delves activity, and much more. WoW players can also unlock the Titan-forged Earthen playable allied race.

It isn't exactly as easy as just logging in when The War Within releases (Early Access on 22nd August or full release on 26 August), as heroes of Azeroth will have to jump through some hoops to unlock the Earthen race. Don't worry; we're here to help!

WoW Earthen Race: How To Unlock

In the fight against the Harbinger of the Void and the arachnid army, Alliance and Horde can both enlist the help of the Earthen. Before we get to the unlock process, check out a quick bit of lore text to get the blood flowing.

We've met Titan-forged Earthen before in Ulduar and other places. Still, this society of Earthen has been isolated within Khaz Algar for a long while and has developed its own manners and customs. They are ancient denizens freshly freed from the edicts that bound them; they now venture forth with limitless curiosity to ally with the Alliance and Horde and explore the world.

You'll meet Earthen NPCs as you progress through The War Within's story, aiding them in restoring the Coreway and even venturing below their city of Dornogol.

As per an official post from the developers, you must complete the following steps to unlock Earthen as a playable race in WoW:

• The War Within storyline:
  • Against the Current
  • News from Below
  • A Light in the Dark
  • Ties that Bind
  • The Machines March to War
• Level-up campaign, Beginning Anew from Rock Bottom
• Help Machinist Kittrin mend broken tools for Reforged Purpose
• Assist Councilward Merrix in returning stability to Dornogal in Bad Business.
• Help Urtago and Korgran perform a ceremony for As He Departs
• Help Urtago at Fallside Outpost take on her new role in The Weight of Duty

Once all the steps are completed, you can create an Earthen character to enjoy in WoW The War Within. You can choose either Horde or Alliance, and your Earthen character starts at level 10 in the capital city of Dornogol.
