Although World of Warcraft seldom delved into the concept of branching storylines and decisions that affect the outcome of the game, Dragonflight delves into the narrative feature once more. This time players can choose between the two black drakes, Wrathion or Sabellian.
So if you're curious to know how this decision affects your gameplay and which you should choose, then we have you covered. Below we'll cover everything you know before deciding to side with either Wrathion or Sabellian in World of Warcraft Dragonflight.
World of Warcraft Dragonflight - Should you side with Sabellian or Wrathion?
Following the initial campaign in The Dragon Isles' The Waking Shores zone and its plethora of content, players will be reunited with both Wrathion and Sabellian, the prominent members of the Black Dragonflight. Each of these characters aims to become the new Aspect of the Black Dragonflight, filling the void left by Deathwing's death.
Players will then be given the option of throwing their support behind one of them, which unlocks a weekly quest as well as several world quests throughout the week to help you gain a reputation with the chosen drake. However, as we'll see below, the effects of this decision don't exactly impact the course of the game all too much.
Every week, players will be given the option to make this choice, and with time, they will be able to max out their reputation ranks with both Wrathion and Sabellian, regardless of who they chose first. And to make things less stressful, earning a reputation with one dragon will not affect your standing with the other negatively at all.
The game rewards you for maxing out both of their reputation bars, and diligent players who max out both black dragons' reputations will be able to purchase two items at the Obsidian Throne, one from each of their quartermasters. Examples of these are the Netherforged Lavaproof Boots, the Sturdy Obsidian Glasses, as well as the Cliffside Wylderdrake Black Scales and the Obsidian Cape, and so many more.
So all in all, it depends on you regarding how you want to go about supporting your favorite Aspect of the Black Dragonflight. But you'll eventually max out both of their reputation bars and get some sweet rewards as a result. That's all on Sabellian Vs. Wrathion.
