Wild Rift 3.3 Patch Notes - New Champions, Skins, Legendary Ranked, More

Brace for impact as Wild Rift receives its biggest patch in a long while featuring new mechanics, champions, ranks, events, cosmetics, and more, all coming to players on 14th July 2022. After taking a trip to Zaun last patch and introducing players to Ekko, this time, prepare to try a medley of unique characters across different roles from other places across Runeterra.

Wild Rift patch update 3.3, also known as the Shining Bright, introduces Wild Rift players to various champions, permanent elemental rifts and dragons, new items, a fresh ranking system, summer skin lines, other cosmetics, and a Star Guardian event.

Champions

In patch 3.3, jump into the Rift by trying out one of the three newest champions making a way in Wild Rift.

Kassadin emerges from the wastelands of Icathia and is a melee midlaner who scales powerfully into the late game. He utilizes mana and ability power to eliminate foes and seemingly always makes it out of trouble. Kassadin is the bane of end-game scenarios and can easily one-shot teams.

Samira is a rare marksman. She can melee and range attack, allowing her to be flexible in play style. (Picture: Riot Games)

Samira is here to amp up your style in the Dragon Lane. With a mix of melee and ranged attacks, Samira is for players who want to take risks and look good while doing it.

She’s not the prettiest to play early on, but her power creeps drastically after a few kills or farming. Use heavy-hitting items with lifesteal to deal significant damage bursts and survive in killing the entire enemy team.

Sion rises once more. If you’ve got an ax to grind in the Baron Lane, try out this unstoppable force and lay waste to the Rift. Sion excels at explosive entries into team fights and sieging opposing structures.

Build yourself up like a literal tank, an impenetrable force, and prepare to do massive damage as you desolate everything around you with your unstoppable force.

Elemental Rift

The latest Wild Rift patch introduces players to new items while cementing Elemental Rift as the default map for all game modes.

Adapted from League of Legends, Elemental Rift features Infernal, Ocean, and Mountain Drakes. And if you haven’t played much of this map layout in the previous patch, these drakes are massive jungle monsters providing statistical boosts if you slay them.

The first drake slain changes the terrain around you and chooses the upcoming elemental drakes.

For example, if the first drake were Infernal, the following drakes would be identical, and the dragon soul boost would also be Infernal. If you kill enough drakes, your team receives a permanent buff depending on the chosen element for the match.

If either you or the enemy’s team scores the dragon soul, an elder dragon will appear after a short time. Slaying elder dragons provide an execution buff killing enemies falling under a certain threshold if damaged accordingly.

Adjusting Enchantment Items

Some shopping mechanics have been refined to aid players on the Rift, and a new item arrives. With this patch, players will have more flexibility with their enchantment.

Patch 3.3 introduces active item swapping, so you can use the shop to change to a different active without selling your boots. This transition costs a bit of gold and puts your active on a short cooldown.

The Repulsor enchantment is the newest item in Wild Rift, and it essentially knocks back enemies in a small area around you. So if you’re a marksman trying to survive enemy assassins, it’s a great pick for self-peel.

Ranked System, Events, Purchasable Cosmetics, and Wild Passes

The Shining Bright patch introduces a new ranking system for those Diamond and above, and the Glorious Crimson Fiora Skin is awarded to those playing during ranked Season 6.

Essentially for those Diamond and up, there’ll be new ranks for you to play and earn neat rewards to bling out your portfolios and match with players similar to your ranks. Additionally, this mechanic allows players to quickly hop into ranked matches.

Now, on to the shinier part of Wild Rift’s latest update: cosmetics, events, and microtransactions. The new Wild Pass features Stargazer Karma as the peak reward in the fifty-level battle pass.

As Shining Bright’s focus goes, the heroes of the stars have come to grace Wild Rift. Participate in the Star Guardian event by playing games and collecting event tokens and rewards.

Buy some adorable cosmetics from the store featuring skins for Senna, Ahri, Xayah, Rakan, and other champions. Here are all the skins you can get in Wild Rift patch 3.3:
