With League of Legends: Wild Rift now released in much of the world (sorry Americas) we are taking a deep dive into each of the game's 40 plus champions.
The next champion to cover is one known for his quick attacks, dazzling abilities, and unsurpassed magical prowess, which has led him to be one of the players' favourite picks for the bottom lane. Introducing Ezreal, the Prodigal Explorer.
Ezreal: His active and passive skills

Thanks to his passive ability, Rising Spell Force, Ezreal will increase his attack speed each time he hits his enemies with one of his abilities, being able to stack it up to four times.
Let's move on to his active skills:
- Mystic Shot: Fires a beam of energy that will reduce cooldowns on abilities if it hits an enemy unit.
- Essence Flux: Launches an orb that sticks to the first enemy target hit. If this target is attacked, the orb will explode, dealing more damage.
- Arcane Shift: Ezreal will teleport to a point and fire a beam aimed at the nearest enemy unit, prioritizing targets attached to the Essence Flux orb.
- Ultimate - Trueshot Barrage: Unleashes a barrage of energy around the map, dealing massive damage to all enemy units hit in its path.
Recommended Runes and Spells for Ezreal
Ezreal is known for his great mobility and versatility when in battle, making him one of the best marksman inside the Rift. These are his recommended runes:

- Brutal: Grants bonus attack damage and armour penetration.
- Loyalty: Grants hybrid resistance to you and a nearby ally.

The best items for Ezreal

His items should be focused on his offensive and siege stats, as well as increasing cooldown reduction and mana amount, allowing you to use his abilities as soon as possible and have them available at all times with the amplified mana.
- Manamune: Ezreal's quintessential item. Grants mana each time you use his abilities, in addition to increasing damage, based on his available mana.
- Gluttonous Greaves: Grants omnivampirism, giving you a better chance of surviving in fights. We recommend using them with Mercury enchant for crowd control.
- Trinity Force: Its passives increase his explosive damage, in addition to granting him bonus movement speed.
- Blade of the Ruined King: Increases damage and attack speed, plus its passive allows additional physical damage to be inflicted on each hit based on the enemy's current health. As a bonus, it allows you to steal your enemy's movement speed.
- Angel Guardian: Grants you a second chance thanks to its passive, allowing you to play aggressively when available.
To complement his composition, you can take with you Mortal Reminder for greater lethality, the Bloodthirster for health regeneration, or in case you want to carry a composition with a focus on ability power, you can take with you Luden’s Echo, Nashor's Tooth or Hextech Gunblade.
Tips for Ezreal’s play style

Ezreal is a marksman who has excelled in the metagame since his appearance in 2012. He is known for being a champion with great range, as well as having a hybrid nature thanks to his abilities with magic damage, which allows him to be flexible in terms of his ideal item composition.
It’s important to learn to control the way you use his arsenal, as this can allow you to finish off your enemies while they are still out of range to counterattack, so it’s essential to observe its range and learn the movement patterns of the enemies. By the time you shoot, you always hit the mark.
In the early stage of the game, it can be a bit difficult to focus your attacks on opponents, due to the low amount of mana you have, so the main goal is to kill the enemy minions as best as possible, to gather the gold necessary to acquire the Tear of the Goddess and then move on to your sieges.

Once you have this, it will be easier for you to exchange skills with your opponents. When you get a chance thanks to your support or good positioning, launch your Essence Flux orb at your enemy target. If you land a hit, you can slowly frustrate the enemy thanks to the extra damage.
Always try to have your Arcane Displacement saved for two situations, whether it's besieging an enemy with little or no protection, or to escape the enemy or evade one of their abilities before you end up paying with your life.
Finally, it’s important to sharpen your aim by practising with Ezreal, since both your Mystic Shot and his Trueshot Barrage will require good coordination and a great vision of the location of your opponents, to make the most of his skills and to be able to take the victory without trying too hard.
