MW2 & Warzone 2 Season 4 Update Download Size: All Platforms

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 4 is promising a lot of content. Like with every major update, players can expect a brand new Battle Pass, new Operator skins, Blueprints, and more. But Season 4 of MW2 and Warzone 2 has a little more than that to offer. In Warzone 2, players will be receiving a whole new map — Vondel. Set in the Netherlands, Vondel is a city-style map with a size roughly inbetween Al Mazrah and Ashika Island.

Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer will also be receiving a number of new maps for players to enjoy, including the Kunstenaar District based in Vondel. There's also the Chicago skylines of Penthouse, the River Diamond Luxury Resort of Mawizeh Marshlands, and the fortified Ahkdar Village of Al Mazrah, all coming to Modern Warfare 2.

Players can also expect the usual tweaks and adjustments for the numerous weapons found in both games, as well as some brand new additions like the Tempus Razorback, ISO 45, and the Tonfa.

With so much on the way across both MW2 and Warzone 2 this upcoming season, it begs the question: how big is this new update going to be? And what are the expected download sizes for each platform?

Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2 Season 4 Update Download Size: PlayStation, Xbox, PC

Previous season updates for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 have been relatively hefty. In Season 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 fans saw download sizes of roughly 12.5 GB to 13.2 GB. Xbox One and Series X|S fans faired even worse with a roughly 25 GB update. But it was PC players that saw the meatiest size, at 28 GB.

So what about Season 4? Well, so far Activision has yet to reveal the exact download size for the new update. But, given the amount of content that's set to arrive, players should expect the Season 4 update to be of similar sizes, if a little larger. For PlayStation players, pre-load for the season update is now live, coming in at roughly 16 GB. Downloads for other platforms will be made available at 9 A.M. PT.
