Microsoft released the Windows 10 Game Mode feature back in 2017, and it was meant to boost performance while gaming. While the feature wasn't the greatest, it did increase gaming performance a bit in some instances.
Now, after a recent Windows 10 update, more and more gamers are complaining about performance issues linked to Windows 10 Game Mode. Here's what you need to know and how to turn it off.
Windows 10 Game Mode issues
Several reports are suggesting some PC gamers are experiencing Windows 10 Game Mode issues right now. These issues include stuttering, as well as game freezes.
Multiple users are reporting issues in Call of Duty: Warzone, and even League of Legends, as well as a handful of other very popular titles.
One user explains on Reddit:
While AMD is looking into the issue, there seems to be users experiencing Windows 10 Game Mode issues with NVIDIA cards as well.
If you've noticed freezing or stuttering in your games, and you use Windows 10, it might be a good idea to try to turn off Windows 10 Game Mode.
