Participants will be competing for the the first place trophy and the $5,500 top prize as well as the chance to be one of 20 players invited to the Tekken World Tour Finals in Bangkok, Thailand on 8th December.
While entry is free for Tokyo Tekken Masters, Japan's strict gambling laws have had an impact on prize pool winnings for esports competitions and the Japan Esports Pro Licenses see a maximum of 100,000 JPY ($920 / £714) being able to be awarded those without the license.
