The Midnight Walk Is A Dark Fantasy Adventure Coming To PS5 and PSVR2 In 2025

Fast Travel Games and Moon Hood Studios have teamed up to announce The Midnight Walk at this month's PlayStation State of Play. The upcoming "dark fantasy adventure" takes on a unique claymation style with actual 3D-scanned sculptures, and will put players into the shoes of "The Burnt One." It's set to release in early 2025.

"You’ll outsmart ghoulish enemies, meet a fantastical cast of companions, and gaze in wonder at our hand-crafted world," Olov Redmalm, co-creator and director of Moonhood, teased in a blog post. "Imagine waking up in a handcrafted world, where every fingerprint can be spotted up close, every molded twist and turn of clay visible on the ground you walk… and on the monsters trying to eat you."

As The Burnt One, players will make friends with a lost lantern creature who goes by the name of Potboy. Players will use his flame to "light the way through a conflicting world of wonder and terror" as they venture down the Midnight Walk and survive strange encounters involving fire.

The Midnight Walk is set to come to PS5 and PS VR2 in Spring 2025. "We’ll have much more to share on the game as we head towards launch, and we can’t wait to share more details and a look at exactly how we brought this world to life," the Redmalm's PlayStation blog reads.
