Over on Reddit, a user has seemingly discovered a listing for a new Half-Life game on the Gamescom Companion App.
The user posted several screenshots of the app, which clearly state Half-Life, but the general community can't seem to agree on whether this is a legit screenshot or not. The current page for Valve on the Gamescom site doesn't mention the beloved franchise at all, so this could either be a case of a doctored screenshot or a mistake, though it is worth noting that multiplayer titles set in the Half-Life universe have been rumored for quite a while now.
It is also worth noting that if you look at the current exhibitor page for Valve, it doesn't mention Half-Life or any game at all, which could suggest that the previous listing was a mistake. However, Valve being at GamesCom 2023 at all is interesting, since outside of Counterstrike 2 and the Steam Deck itself they don't have a whole lot going on right now. Could we potentially be about to see Valve show off a game during Gamescom Opening Night Live, or will it just be something related to the Steam Deck system, perhaps similar to how The Game Awards 2022 gave away a whole host of Steam Deck systems.
