Announced during E3 2019, the new game in the Rainbow Six series is Rainbow Six Extraction. Initially named Rainbow Six Quarantine, then renamed to Rainbow Six Parasite, and now Ubisoft has officially revealed the name of this game ahead of their E3 2021 schedule. Here's what we know so far, from gameplay details to when we can expect to see a release date announcement.
Rainbow Six Extraction - Gameplay details
In Rainbow Six Extraction, players will explore a futuristic world where aliens have attacked mankind. Players will embark on a journey to fighting against the aliens to save mankind.
From the footage shown from the game’s technical test, it has been confirmed that there will be different zones and objectives that the players will need to secure in order to progress in the game. Players will be rewarded with various materials and loots as they secure the objectives or gather intel.
Just like Rainbow Six Siege, there will be various operator classes with Speed and Armour ratings along with the special abilities that have been there in the Siege.

Although the game is a PvE, it is not exactly a shooter-looter. However, it resembles many similarities with Rainbow Six Siege in terms of shooting mechanics such as reinforcing walls or slowing down incoming enemies.
Patrik Methé, the Creative Director of the game, mentioned, "We took the strong foundations of Rainbow Six: Siege and crafted a modern tactical co-op shooter where you’ll be facing an ever-evolving alien threat."

"You’ll have plenty of different challenges to overcome but you’ll also have one goal in mind: making sure that nobody gets left behind. It will be up to you and your squad to decide when to push forward, or when to extract."
The game will make the players feel the real meaning of "extraction".
