PowerWash Simulator is celebrating its second anniversary with the release of a free, brand-new update, The Muckingham Files 3. The new content includes two fresh bonus undersea-themed bonus jobs, including an aquarium and a submarine. Both were winners of the developers' 2022 Community map vote.
The aquarium level features lots of neat little details, like funny info boards revealing information about the area's strange ecology. It's a multi-room job, so there's lots of space to explore and clean.
The submarine isn't lacking in neat little touches, either - developers say there are tentacle marks on its underbelly, and grabby arms at its front to give it character. "The team went to the extra effort to create a gantry/walkway across the front of the submarine so players can more easily see and clean its face," FuturLab explained.
Players on all platforms - PC, Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation - can grab the update for free starting today, 18 July. It was preceded by the addition of the Alice in Wonderland update to VR earlier this week.
“PowerWash Simulator has been a huge part of our lives for the past three years,” said Kirsty Rigden, FuturLab’s CEO. “We’re so excited to be able to release a boatload of free content over the summer to our community that have also chosen to make PowerWash part of theirs. Thank you for washing and sticking with us!”
Developers also say there's more content coming later this summer and beyond. That includes the Cruise Ship Sun Deck as part of the Seasonal map series, featuring one new cleanup. It'll be followed by the Muckingham Files Part 4, yet another instalment in this series "bringing you two more jobs set in your favourite fictional town."
