PowerWash Simulator Adds Shrek's Swamp, Dragon's Lair In Next DLC

It might be a happily ever after as developer FuturLab unveiled its next crossover collaboration for their casual sim game PowerWash Simulator. This time, the developer will partner with Dreamworks Animation to bring the kingdom of Far Far Away and its surrounding locales as the Shrek Special Pack was announced for PowerWash Simulator.

Much "like onions, dirt has layers," avid powerwashers will spend ample hours blasting dirt away from the delicate pages of this fairytale chapter for a clean and happy ever after. The announcement was made during the recent Nintendo Indie World Showcase, where the official trailer revealed new details about the forthcoming paid DLC.

A fairytale dream collaboration has come true for the casual sim game PowerWash Simulator as their next crossover adds the fantasy world of Shrek in the latest paid DLC pack. The Shrek Special Pack, announced during the Nintendo Indie World Showcase, will be coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles and PC via Steam with no release date to be confirmed.

The Shrek Special Pack is the fifth paid DLC pack following Spongebob Squarepants, Back to the Future, Warhammer 40,000, and Alice's Adventures, which all added unique maps, cosmetics, and more to the game. It's worth mentioning that the game has two free Special Pack crossovers with Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy VII, which was released in 2023.

According to its Steam listing, the Shrek Special Pack will add "five charming maps": Duloc, Dragon's Lair, Fairy Godmother's Potion Factory, Hansel's Honeymoon Hideaway, and the iconic Shrek's Swamp. Additionally, a new themed cosmetic will be included with the forthcoming DLC, adding a majestic Knight character model with a sword-themed powerwasher that may be useless when defending towers, but cleaning them is a different fairytale.
