After it was previously announced last year, Square Enix and People Can Fly have released a full trailer for new title Outriders, which has echoes of Gears Of War.
Outriders is a co-op RPG shooter for up to three players, combining gunplay, special powers and “increasingly twisted weaponry” for combat.
A description of the plot reads: “As mankind bleeds out in the trenches of Enoch, you’ll create your own Outrider and embark on a journey across the hostile planet.
“With rich storytelling spanning a diverse world, you’ll leave behind the slums and shanty towns of the First City and traverse forests, mountains and desert in the pursuit of a mysterious signal.”
The title is from developer People Can Fly, who previously helmed Gears Of War: Judgment and the highly enjoyable Bulletstorm back in 2011.
Outriders is also the second confirmed title to be released on PlayStation 5 this year, joining Godfall by Counterplay Games.
More information and the first gameplay trailer will be revealed Thursday 13th February in special reveal stream from 8pm GMT.
Outriders releases Holiday 2020 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
