Cloud gaming services are a dime a dozen, but if there is one group that does it right, it is Nvidia with their GeForce Now cloud gaming service. This cloud gaming service allows players all over the world to play PC games on nearly any computer, no matter what kind of hardware they are running.
Nvidia has recently dropped some news that they are ready for the next steps of GeForce Now to improve its services. Nvidia claims that its next upgrade will outperform the Xbox Series X nearly five times over. It is a pretty bold claim, but it looks like Nvidia is on track to meet those standards.
The GeForce Now RTX 4080 Upgrade
When it comes to PC gaming, the graphics of the game is very important. Players put a lot of time and money into their PCs to make sure that they are getting the highest graphics and FPS rates possible. When it comes to cloud gaming services, although they can often exceed lower-quality PC stats, it is difficult to meet the highest performance and demands that some players expect.
But Nvidia is looking to break those standards. On their website, Nvidia is talking about how the GeForce Now cloud gaming service will get the RTX 4080 treatment. What this means is that graphics streamed on GeForce Now should be higher than ever. Players will be able to stream games at 240 FPS. On top of that, real-time ray tracing will be available as well. On top of that, ultra-wide monitors will be supported in this upgrade as well.
Essentially, anyone who streams games from Nvidia's cloud gaming service will be able to play games with the highest graphical quality available. This is good news for those who want to stream games with the graphics set to max.
When Will The GeForce Now RTX 4080 Upgrade Happen?
When it comes to the GeForce Now streaming service, there are a couple of different tiers that you can join. The subscription-based service allows nearly all players to stream games with high graphics and quality. But since there are tiers, only those with the highest tier subscription will get the RTX 4080 upgrade first.
This upgrade will first roll out to high-tier subscribers by the end of January. It will take some time, but the RTX 4080 upgrade will roll out to the other tier subscribers in the near future.
