Nintendo announced amidst The Game Awards announcements that their Indie World Showcase is returning for another incredible presentation of the latest independent games. The livestream will also update current and forthcoming releases that will launch for the Nintendo Switch in the coming months.
The announcement was made through their official social media channels, in which they confirmed the livestream will be premiering on 14th November 2023 at 9 am PT / 12 pm ET / 5 pm UTC. According to Nintendo, the Indie World Showcase will be approximately 20 minutes long and is packed with indie games that viewers can look forward to.
The previous Indie World Showcase took place on 19th April 2023, in which the Japanese publisher unveiled a handful of indie titles that had been released thus far. This includes Oxenfree II: Lost Signals, Cult of the Lamb, and Mineko’s Night Market, the latter having been in development for eight years prior to its release.
This latest Indie World Showcase promises to provide updates on forthcoming titles like Paper Trail, Animal Well, Rift of the Necromancer, and Quilts and Cats of Calico. Although announced during the Nintendo Direct in June 2023, cozy MMO Palia is heading to the Nintendo Switch this Holiday so that we may get an update or an official release date from developer Singularity 6.
Additionally, players will be treated to premieres, new gameplay demos for these titles, and a handful more in the presentation. Those anticipating what indie titles are coming to the Nintendo Switch in time for the holidays can already set a reminder to catch the livestream on the official Nintendo YouTube channels.
Lastly, plenty of indie titles will be showcased during the presentation that may be available to buy from the Nintendo eShop. They can follow the official Indie World Showcase account across multiple social media platforms to stay updated on the latest indie gaming news from Nintendo.
