Deep Field Games and Playstack's Abiotic Factor just got a release date and brand-new launch trailer, just a few months ahead of its upcoming release. Abiotic Factor is coming 2 May 2024, hitting Steam in time for summer.
The game's developers describe it as a "survival crafting experience for 1-6 players set in the depths of an underground research facility." The fully-voice acted trailer showcases some gameplay, featuring multiple characters exploring the research facility and describing their plight. It's the game's first trailer with voice acting, something that definitely adds some personality and depth to the trailer.
The Abiotic Factor Next Fest demo is currently available to play on Steam as of 25 January, and will be available until 12 February. The demo comes after multiple playtests have been conducted in the past few months as developers ready the game for its final release.
Abiotic Factor Trailer
Abiotic Factor's new trailer showcases the best of the game, featuring, as we mentioned before, voice acting.
"Now we're trapped down here, with monstrosities, mercenaries, and things I can't even begin to describe," the narrator says. "We're rationing food, risking dehydration, with no hope of rescue... but it's not a total calamity. I've seen things you wouldn't believe."
The trailer brings to mind unique survival titles like Lethal Company, but also brings in elements of other genres and designs to create an innovative experience for players.
