Fans of Naughty Dog’s action-adventure horror game, The Last of Us, have been anticipating the premiere of the HBO series of the acclaimed video game ever since the adaptation was announced. With hours left until the show debuts on cable television worldwide, PlayStation owners will have the chance to revisit or explore the game for the first time.
One Twitter account reported the availability of The Last Of Us Part 1 as a game trial to players with a specific PlayStation Plus plan. We’ve detailed how to play The Last of Us Part I through the PlayStation Plus Deluxe subscription plan and how to get it.
How To Play The Last Of Us Game Trial On PlayStation?
The Twitter account, Naughty Dog Central, posted on the social media platform that a game trial for The Last Of Us Part I Standard Edition was made available to PlayStation owners; however, it comes with a slight catch. Nevertheless, those with a PlayStation Plus subscription, most specifically, a PS Plus Deluxe subscription, can access the game trial in its catalog.
How To Change PlayStation Plus Subscription Plan
If you don’t have the upgraded tier subscription plan, you can change it within your console’s Settings with the gear icon at the top of your screen. Follow the steps mentioned below on how to change your subscription plan on your PlayStation console:
- Within the Settings menu, scroll down to the “Users and Accounts” option and select “Account.”
- If you have an existing subscription plan, it will appear here; you choose it to view your details.
- When viewing your current plan, the option “Change Plan’ will appear at the bottom of the screen.
- Select the “Change Plan” option, which you can choose between various subscription plans: Essential, Extra, and Deluxe (Premium for Cloud Streaming markets).
- Opt-in for the Deluxe subscription plan for $139,99 / £114,99 for 12 months and complete the payment process.
While the PS Plus Deluxe subscription is technically the Premium plan, the difference is that it’s available to selected markets that don’t have Cloud Streaming. These selected markets include Singapore, South Korea, South Africa, and various Latin American countries and territories.
It’s important to note that game trials are exclusively available to both PS Plus Premium and Deluxe subscribers, according to Naughty Dog Central; you’ll access a two-hour game trial. Additionally, if you wish not to pay for the subscription plan but want to play The Last Of Us Part I game trial, a free seven-day trial is available for all PS Plus subscription plans.
Any gameplay progress and Trophies made in the two-hour trial for The Last Of Us Part I will carry over should you purchase the full game once the trial expires. This applies to all game trials available for the PS Plus Deluxe subscription, which is the Premium subscription plan minus Cloud Streaming capabilities.
