Kena: Bridge Of Spirits Is Heading To Xbox Consoles In August 2024

Indie developer Ember Lab's award-winning action-adventure title, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, will embark on a brand new journey as it launches for Xbox consoles this year. The announcement came with a new teaser trailer, pre-order, and launch day news, for which physical game editions will also be available.

The indie action-adventure game, launched for PlayStation 4 and 5 consoles and PCs in 2021, will arrive to the Xbox ecosystem with the Anniversary DLC and Xbox-exclusive content. Ember Lab's Chief Operating Officer Josh Grier expressed his excitement about bringing Kena to the Xbox platform, stating that bringing their debut game to the platform means reaching a new audience as they hope everyone enjoys meeting Kena and her Rot friends!"

Digital and physical game editions for Kena: Bridge of Spirits will be coming to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles on 15th August 2024 as both game editions will have their pre-orders go live soon, but the developer has provided details on what players can expect. Kena: Bridge of Spirits' digital edition will include the base game and the Anniversary DLC, which feature unique items and content like the Charmstones, Spirit Guide Trials, new Kena Outfits, and many accessibility options and features. 

Additionally, the New Game+ (NG+) mode is part of the DLC, allowing players to replay the game and carry over Kena's abilities, upgrades, outfits, Rot, and more for more "challenging combat encounters." Likewise, several Xbox-exclusive contents will launch with Kena: Bridge of Spirits' digital and physical editions, such as the Xbox-exclusive pirate-themed Rot hats, a unique Kena Staff, and the Golden Rot Skin.

The Xbox-exclusive content and the Anniversary DLC will also be available for its physical edition, for which the developer partnered with Maximum Entertainment. Kena: Bridge of Spirits' physical Premium Edition will retail at major outlets globally, include all the previously mentioned content, and add the game's Official Digital Soundtrack and Retail Exclusive Sticker Sheet and bonus items.

According to the press release, pre-orders have yet to go live for Kena: Bridge of Spirits' digital edition and the physical Premium Edition. From the Microsoft Store, the digital edition will launch at $39.99 / €39.99 / £34.99, while the physical Kena: Bridge of Spirits—Premium Edition will retail at $39.99 / €39.99 / £34.99 at major retailers exclusively for Xbox Series X consoles.
