Funko Fusion will be delayed on both Switch and PlayStation 4 until 15 November, developers have announced on X/Twitter. The upcoming action-adventure game is based on the Funko Pop toys, and lets players take on the role of over 60 characters from popular franchises including Jurassic World, Back to the Future, JAWS, and more.
"While we know this news is disappointing, this is being done to ensure we deliver the best version of Funko Fusion that we can for these platforms," the team wrote. "We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work hard to bring you this festival of fandom!"
The physical Nintendo Switch version of the game always had a 15 November release date from retailers, suggesting that, while the digital Switch edition was originally planned to release in September with other consoles, the physical release was set to come out a bit later in November. However, it seems the digital version will now be joining the physical one with a November release date.
While the Switch and PS versions of the game are delayed, Funko Fusion is still set to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam on 13 September. This means that the Switch and PS4 releases will just be a couple of months behind other consoles.
Pre-orders for non-delayed consoles are available now, with pre-orders for Switch and PS4 opening up soon. Regardless of the delay, pre-order bonuses will remain the same on all platforms.
