Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise will release on Nintendo Switch this summer, a new trailer has confirmed.
The upcoming Switch exclusive sequel will launch on 10th July via the Nintendo eShop and at retail, which acts as both a “prequel and a sequel” to the original game.
The original Deadly Premonition, released in 2010, is an open world survival horror title which became a cult favourite through its cast of bizarre characters and flawed gameplay. It's also available to download on the eShop too if you want to catch up.
This is also the first indication of the Switch's release schedule for the rest of this year, with it unknown when other titles like No More Heroes 3, Bayonetta 3 and those rumoured Mario remakes will release.
A synopsis for the sequel reads: “A sequel to Deadly Premonition that takes place in present-day Boston. Through unique storytelling, venture back in time to Le Carre and uncover the mysteries buried within the once peaceful town.
“Serving as both a sequel and a prequel to the original Deadly Premonition, follow Agents Davis and Jones as they begin a new investigation into the Le Carre serial murders. Through the memories of a former FBI agent, go back in time to Le Carre and step into the role of Special Agent York to begin unravelling the mystery.”
