Dave The Diver: How To Increase Carry Weight Capacity

In Dave the Diver, players take control of Dave, a friendly diver who has been roped into running a sushi restaurant with his friends Cobra and Bancho. The core gameplay loop sees Dave dive down into the depths of the ocean to catch all types of fish during the day, occassionally fending off more dangerous creatures like sharks and eels. At night, the restaurant is open for business and Dave must do his part to ensure the menu is filled and customer needs are met.

The secret to improving the restaurant and earning more gold is in the quality and variety of fish and ingredients Dave brings back from the ocean. The trouble is that each item he picks up has weight to it and, if you're not careful, you can find yourself over-encumbered and treading water. So, to minimize the chance of that happening, players can increase Dave's carry weight capacity. 

How To Increase Carry Weight Capacity In Dave The Diver

Increasing Dave's carry weight is pretty straightforward, though it might take some time before you've increased it to a decent capacity. As you progress through the game's story, you'll eventually get a visit from an NPC called Dr Bacon on Day 3. 

Dr Bacon will ask Dave to help him with some research into the mysterious ancient civilization he believes used to exist in the ocean. In return, he'll offer to upgrade Dave's diving suit for free. In addition to that, he'll install the iDiver app onto Dave's phone. Here, you'll be able to upgrade Dave's equipment, including his carry weight capacity.   

The first upgrade will be available for a small price of 55 gold,  and will increase your capacity from 9kg to 13kg. Players can then make subsequent upgrades, providing they have the funs to do so. Level 3 increases the capacity to 19kg, Level 4 increases it to 28kg, Level 5 to 42kg, and so on. 

Players can also make important upgrades to Dave's Harpoon Gun, to capture and fend off more uncommon fish, and his Oxygen Tank to help prolong his excursions.
