It goes without saying that The Game Awards 2022 ended on a somewhat bizarre note. After the developers of Elden Ring (FromSoftware) took center stage to accept their Game of the Year award, a random kid seized the opportunity to give a speech of their own.
Accordingly, after Hidetaka Miyazaki, the director of Elden Ring, concluded his acceptance speech, the 'Bill Clinton Kid' stole the mic and had this to say:
I want to thank everybody and say that I think I want to nominate this award to my reformed Orthodox Rabbi. Bill Clinton. Thank you everybody.
The moment happened at the close of The Game Awards 2022 and was a rather peculiar way to cap off the show, with Miyazaki looking incredibly confused as to what on earth was going on. After the 'Bill Clinton Kid' stormed the stage (and was later gently escorted out by security), host Geoff Keighley confirmed via a Twitter post that the Los Angeles Police Department had arrested them.
But how on earth did the 'Bill Clinton Kid' manage to get up on stage in the first place? Upon examining The Game Awards footage, it seems that they simply walked down the aisle and joined the developers as they walked on stage. The kid even congratulated some of the developers, giving one or two a pat on the back!

However, this may not be the end of the story. A Twitter account purporting to be the individual in question tweeted mere hours ago claiming that "more information will be released on all fronts sooner than later." So in this regard, it seems there might be more to this story (rest assured, we'll endeavor to cover it).
All things aside, The Game Awards 2022 was a monumental event for the video game industry, celebrating the creatives that allow us to play what we want. It also played host to several exciting announcements and upcoming title releases, including (but not limited to):
