After debuting a cinematic trailer last week, Ubisoft has dropped an additional clip showing in-engine footage from the Xbox Series X.
The trailer debuted during Microsoft’s Inside Xbox showcase, which showed off an expansive number of third-party titles heading to the new console.
The new trailer for Valhalla doesn’t exactly show much, and it isn't really 'gameplay' as it's billed, but it’s nevertheless a teasing look at what to expect from the English Viking setting.
Valhalla is set in ninth-century England, where players control Viking raider Eivor in an age defined by warring kingdoms and Viking conquest.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will also utilise the Xbox Series X Smart Delivery feature, allowing players who purchase the Xbox One version to receive a free upgrade for Xbox Series X.
The game is also set to be smaller in comparison to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, following gripes it was way too vast and overwhelming.
Ubisoft promise the decisions you make “will have lasting effects” on the world, teasing you’ll also be able to chat your way out of situations rather than just battles.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla releases on PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia in holiday 2020.
