Among Us, COD: Warzone Mobile, Disney Dreamlight Valley Most Downloaded Apple App Store Games Of 2024

Days after they announced the 2024 App Store Awards winners, Apple released new end-of-the-year details on the most downloaded apps and games from their dedicated App Store. On their gaming front, these downloaded games reflect free and paid games that were either released or mainly played throughout the year, which gained popularity amongst players across the Apple family of devices.

This chart has been "localized for users in more than 30 countries and regions," so the chart will fare differently to Apple users in the US compared to the United Kingdom. As such, users can find their "localized" chart through the App Store on their Apple device from the Today tab as they must discover a new favorite game to enjoy this Holiday season.

According to an official news post from the Apple Newsroom site, these popular games have been curated to reflect the top downloaded games "across iPhone, iPad, and Apple Arcade." While each chart is regional-specific, best reflecting the players' gaming experiences per country or region, some recurring titles appear on this list for consecutive years, like Among Us, Minecraft, Monopoly Go!, Stardew Valley, and Subway Surfers.

VentureBeat has provided the US chart for the most downloaded App Store games for which Disney Dreamlight Valley, Hello Kitty Island Adventure, and NBA 2K24 Arcade Edition dominated the US downloaded charts for the Apple Aracde subscription while free-to-play (F2P) players enjoyed Brawl Stars, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, and Roblox on their iPhone devices.

Staying with the iPhone device, Five Nights at Freddy's, Minecraft, and Stardew Valley are some of the top paid downloaded games in the US, while iPad owners enjoyed their gaming experiences with the aforementioned games but also Geometry Dash and Monopoly: The Board Game to name. Regarding free iPad games, players continued suspecting their friends as Imposter in Among Us!, shared in-game moments with others in Roblox, and dodged incoming trains in Subway Surfers.
