1. Serious Sam 4
The iconic FPS franchise featuring thousands of enemies on the screen at the same time returns to PC in August. Serious Sam 4 still doesn't have an exact release date, but the release window is August 2020, which developer Croteam and publisher Devolver Digital revealed back in May.
The franchise has always been about throwing a plethora of enemies at the player, and Serious Sam 4 is taking this aspect to the next level. Serious Sam 4 has a Legion System will allow for hundreds of thousands of enemies on screen.
We can't wait to blow things to smithereens in the latest entry, which is coming to PC and Google Stadia.
2. Baldur's Gate 3
Another one of our top picks in the August video game releases list is yet another iconic franchise, this time in the RPG genre. Baldur's Gate 3 also doesn't have a specific release date, but instead, an August 2020 release date window.
The game is set to be the biggest, most detailed intro into the franchise, and that's saying something. It is being developed by Larian Studios, the people behind the incredible Divinity: Original Sin 2. The game is expected to release on Steam Early Access in August. We simply can't wait to play it, and drive the Mindflayers back into the Underdark.
3. Horizon Zero Dawn on PC
PC gamers are in for an absolute treat with Horizon Zero Dawn, one of the best titles on PS4 which is finally coming to PC on 7th August 2020. The game, created by Guerilla Games, is one of the best new IPs from Sony's first-party studios this generation.

Best of all, it is the Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition coming to PC, which means PC gamers will also get the fantastic Frozen Wilds expansion. After we've seen what Death Stranding on PC looks like, especially with NVIDIA's DSSL 2.0, we can't wait to jump into the boots of Aloy on PC.
Horizon Zero Dawn runs on the same engine as Death Stranding, so we can expect great things from the PC experience.
4. Microsoft Flight Simulator
Microsoft has finally brought the series, which started all the way back in the MS-Dos era, back to life. On 18th August, PC and Xbox One gamers will be able to take flight in the latest game, simply entitled Microsoft Flight Simulator.
From everything we've seen so far, Microsoft Flight Simulator looks absolutely gorgeous. If you are into the franchise or simulator titles in general, then Microsoft Flight Simulator is the game to pick up in August.
The game allows you to travel the world and experience over 2 million cities, and expansive environments from mountains down to roads, trees, rivers, animals, traffic, and much more.
5. Wasteland 3
If you are a fan of the Wasteland franchise, then Wasteland 3 from developer inXile Entertainment should be at the top of your must-play August 2020 video game releases list.
Wasteland 3 features challenging tactical turn-based combat and a deep, reactive story full of twists, turns, and brutal ethical decisions which should keep you hooked for dozens of hours. The game releases on 28th August for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
