Stunlock Studios' hit vampire survival game V Rising tasks players with surviving the harsh world of Vardoran. An essential part of building and expanding your vampire empire is gathering resources, and slowly growing stronger. One very important resource is Sulphur Ore (Sulfur for those in the US). To get V Rising Sulphur Ore, you will need to mine it from various locations, and we've got you covered.

This guide showcases all the locations of Sulphur Ore in V Rising, how you can turn it into Sulphur and the most important item you can craft with it.

The first and most important aspect of finding and mining a resource for a prospective vampire lord is to first know exactly where to go.

There are dozens of Sulphur Ore spawn locations in V Rising. Thankfully for new players, the starting area, Farbane is filled with Sulphur Ore locations.

Once you've progressed further into the game, Silverlight Hills also holds roughly 20 Sulphur Ore locations.

Now that you know the general Sulphur Ore locations in V Rising, the next section of this guide tells you how to mine it.

How to mine Sulphur Ore in V Rising

To mine Sulphur Ore in V Rising, you will need to head to one of the locations noted in the previous section, and destroy the Sulphur Vein. 

This can be best achieved by using a Copper Mace, which you will of course need to farm Copper Ore to craft.

Crafting Sulphur and explosives

So you've mined some Sulphur Ore. Well, congratulations, now you can craft Sulphur and explosives, integral to various gameplay elements, such as raiding castles in V Rising...

To craft Sulphur from Sulphur ore, you will first need a Furnace near your Castle Heart. The Furnace can be crafted by smelting 480 Stone and 60 Copper Ore. 

Then, you will need to increase your V Rising Gear Score to 30 and head to the Bandit Sulfur Quarry. Here, you must defeat Clive the Firestarter to gain the recipe for creating Sulphur and explosives.

Coincidentally, Clive's location is perfect for farming Sulphur Ore as well, and there are quite a few chests around to open.

You need to use 20 Sulphur Ore to get one Sulphur so add that to your Furnace.

Crafting explosives requires an Alchemy Table which killing Clive the Firestarter also unlocks. To craft an Alchemy Table, you will need the following:

• 100x Blood Essence
• 16x Planks
• 12x Sulphur

Finally, use the Alchemy Table to craft a Minor Minor Explosive Box with the following ingredients.

• 8x Sulphur
• 8x Planks
• 4x Whetstone

Congratulations, you've turned your Sulphur Ore farming expedition in V Rising into explosives!
