Stunlock Studios' hit vampire survival game V Rising boasts an array of important resources that players must mine or harvest to advance their vampire empire in Vardoran. Among these essential materials is Iron Ore, the next tier up from Copper, which is required to craft more robust, advanced gear and weaponry. This guide will detail all the locations you can find Iron Ore in V Rising and how to mine it.
All Iron Ore locations in V Rising
You can find Iron Ore in 11 different locations across the Vardoran. The most common place to locate Iron Ore is the Dunley Farmlands, although there are also deposits on the eastern coast of the Cursed Forest.
Perhaps the best place to farm Iron Ore would be the Haunted Iron Mine. You'll also find Hell's Clarion and Bone located there. There are two Waygates nearby that you can use to Fast Travel to get there faster.
Before entering the mine, it would be best to clear the area of the enemy mobs and skeletons. Once you've done this, head inside the mine (you'll have to kill more enemies inside), and you'll find plenty of Iron Ore along the walls for you to mine.

How to mine Iron Ore in V Rising
To mine Iron Ore, you'll need to at least have a Merciless Copper weapon, ranging from the Sword, Hatchet, or Mace. Simply walk up to a vein containing Iron Ore and slash at it to mine the resource out. It's really that straightforward.
How to get Iron Ingots
Once you've got enough Iron Ore, you can smelt it into Iron Ingots by placing it into the Furnace, thereby unlocking the ability to craft various iron weaponry. The Furnace can be crafted by smelting 480 Stone and 60 Copper Ore.
Note: You would have had to defeat the Level 37 boss, Quincey the Bandit King, to unlock the Iron Ingot recipe for crafting. Like other Blood Carriers, you can track him from the Blood Altar.
Once you have done this, you will be able to craft a range of iron weapons, including an Iron Sword, Axe, Mace, Spear, Reaper, Slashers, and Crossbow. Additionally, you'll unlock the ability to craft Hollowfang Battlegear.
Killing this boss early in the game could prove useful, allowing you to essentially skip other Merciless tier weapons you don't have and offering you a major advantage in the game.
And that's everything you need to know about mining Iron Ore in V Rising.
