V Rising - How to make Scrolls and build Paper Press

The life of a vampire in V Rising comprises bloodshed but many technical and complex mechanics, too. Notably, players must undertake research using Schematics crafted from Paper and Scrolls using a Paper Press.

This guide will show you everything you need to know to make Scrolls and build a Paper Press in V Rising. Helping you get your research tasks underway and use your knowledge to create structures and items is vital in your quest to become the next Dracula. 

How to Farm and Make Scrolls in V Rising

Scrolls are used to create Schematics in V Rising, and Schematics, in turn, allows you to do research to gain new blueprints for castle structures, armor, and weaponry. Before crafting Scrolls yourself, you can farm Scrolls in certain areas in Vardoran. 

Players can farm Scrolls in the Dunley Farmlands from the Militia Camps, Militia Encampments, the Dawnbreak Village and Mosswick Village, and the Dunley Monastery.

You should at least have level 15 gear and level 5 armor before farming these areas to ensure you aren't bothered by the surrounding enemy mobs too much. Alternatively, you can craft Scrolls yourself using Paper, but doing so requires a Paper Press, which we will show you how to unlock and build next.

How to build a Paper Press in V Rising

The Paper Press allows you to craft Paper and Scrolls instead of farming them. It's also a necessary tool for creating Schematics, which is required later in the game. The first step in building a Paper Press is to construct a Study, which you can unlock by defeating the level 37 V Blood Boss, Nicholaus the Fallen. 

Once you have the Study set up at your base, you can use it to unlock the Paper Press. To build the Paper Press, you will need 12 Planks and 12 Copper Ingots. Once you've gathered the required biomaterials, you can begin Crafting Paper and Scrolls on your own and save yourself the effort of farming for it. 

Paper requires 3 Plant Fibres and 9 Sawdust to craft, and Scrolls can be crafted by first obtaining the recipe after defeating the V Blood boss, Frostmaw the Mountain Terror. Then you can craft Scrolls using the Paper Press for 12 Gem Dust and 4 Paper.

From here, you should be ready to begin creating your Scrolls and using the Paper Press and are well on your way to creating Schematics to upgrade and improve your arsenal in V Rising.
