The world of V Rising can be a dangerous place to call home, with enemies lurking in the shadows you can't afford to let your guard down. This is especially true when it comes to protecting your Castle and the treasure you've stored within.

Today's guide hopes to help you with exactly this issue, as we look at some of the best tips and tricks that you can use to protect your Castle from enemy raids.

How to protect your Castle from raids in V Rising

When it comes to protecting your Castle in V Rising from raids, you have a few options to choose from. You can take precautions to slow down your attackers to lure them deeper for a battle of numbers or use your countermeasures to keep them busy and take them out before they reach your Castle Heart.

The first piece of advice is to slow your enemies down with your Castle's location, if you plant your Castle in a walled-off area, you can bottleneck any enemy that could assault your Castle into one location. This gives you control over the way a battle could go down.

Once you have done this, we recommend using a decoy Castle that sits before your actual Castle, to not only waste enemies' time, but also their resources. You should construct a faux Castle that is just a series of confusing doors and pathways, that can force them to waste their resources and time if they prepare for a battle by summoning Siege Golems or using spells and potions before entering.

Inside, you can fill the empty rooms and corridors with chests that are either empty or just contain some of the junk you've collected. These can waste any intruder's time and give you a chance to prepare yourself for battle.

Lastly, if an intruder makes their way through your first Castle of defence to your actual Castle, you should construct your home Castle similar to the faux one, albeit a bit more simplified. With a few confusing pathways and doors that lead toward the back of the Castle where you should place your important resources like your chests, your Castle Heart, etc.

This will serve to give you time to fight them away from any important rooms, but also if you have any servants, they can be stationed here, allowing you to make a solid defence for your Castle if enemies arrive. And as a final tip, remember to extend your border as far as possible on the area that you have walled off to prevent an enemy from sneaking in and placing a Castle Heart on your land.
